Products

The Tools EEI delivers on VirtualForge. Each page below says what the product is, who it is for, and exactly where it stands.

Products and enablers are different things

Worth separating, because we talk about both and they are not the same kind of thing:

  • Enablers are the reason the products are good. VirtualForge itself and Connectors ++ are enablers: you do not evaluate them as separate purchases, you benefit from them in everything you do buy.
  • Products are the delivered units of capability — the things you actually license and use.
  • The interaction plane is where you meet them. Two surfaces, and the difference is which environment you are standing in: the Toolbox is EEI's presence inside a host such as Seeq, focused on reaching the Tools you own; ForgeIQ is the VirtualForge-side portal. The Toolbox is something you receive, so it sits below; ForgeIQ is a plane, so it has its own section.

How we describe status

"Roadmap" gets used to mean everything from a released product being rebuilt to an idea somebody had in a meeting. Those are not the same claim, so we use four terms and mean them literally:

Status What it means
Available Shipping and supported, in customer use today
In active development Being built now — real code, real progress — with no release date set yet
In rebuild An earlier version shipped and was used. We stopped developing it deliberately, and are rebuilding it from the ground up
Planned Committed direction; work has not started

If a status matters to a decision you are making, ask us and we will be specific about it.

Where each product stands

Product What it is Status
Connectors Bring an external system's data or metadata into Seeq Available — in customer production
Tools Granular capabilities VirtualForge delivers and manages — starting with Plot Digitizer In rebuild — Plot Digitizer returns with the Toolbox
ForgeVault A portable, governed metadata and time-series store Available through an EEI engagement; the self-service managed offering is planned
VirtualForge Toolbox Where you reach the Tools you own, inside the environment you already work in In rebuild — a near-term priority

ForgeIQ is not in the table because it is not one of the delivered units above — it is the interaction plane: the VirtualForge portal where you reach intelligence and whatever else your context calls for. It has its own section. In active development — release date TBD.

  • Tools — what a Tool is, what is not one, and what is available now.
  • Tools and the Toolbox — the idea behind Tools, and the categories they fall into.
  • Algorithms as Tools — algorithms and formulas delivered as Tools; the enabling architecture exists, a published library does not yet.
  • VirtualForge — the platform all of this runs on.
  • Questions about any of it: the Endeavor Engineering resources hub.
