Connectors¶
A connector brings an external system's data and metadata into the environment where it is useful. Every EEI connector is built on Connectors ++ — a shared set of value-add capabilities (resilient data access, managed indexing, in-Seeq health visibility, and defined licensing and support) that each connector inherits rather than reimplements.
Seeq is where our connectors are focused today, and it is where the available ones run: EEI is a Seeq partner, and integrating industrial data sources with the Seeq process intelligence platform is the work we do most. But a connector is not a Seeq-only idea. The capability set sits on VirtualForge rather than on any single host platform, so connectors for other destinations are a natural extension of the same foundation — and one we expect to make.
Available connectors¶
- ABB Knowledge Manager — enables Seeq to work with historian time-series data from one or more ABB Knowledge Manager servers.
- Metadata Connector — builds and maintains a browsable asset hierarchy in Seeq from metadata you already hold, wiring each position in the tree to the signal that already exists. Seeq's own SQL connector serves data out of a database but cannot build an asset tree; this supplies exactly that.
Do you have a system you would like connected? Tell your Endeavor Engineering contact, or reach us through the resources hub — the list above is expected to grow, and a new source is usually engagement scope rather than a research project.
