Working with EEI¶
Most of this knowledge base describes what EEI builds. This section describes how buying it works — the shape of the price, how an engagement is structured, and what is included once something is live.
The short version¶
- A fixed price, recurring over an agreed term. Not metered, not hourly, and not re-negotiated as the work turns out to be harder or easier than expected.
- If what you need does not exist yet, we build it inside that same term. Development is not a separate charge bolted onto the front.
- Support is in the price. Not an upsell, and not optional — for reasons set out below.
Why the model looks like this¶
Almost everything built today is connected to something else. That much is true of any systems integrator.
What we have learned over nearly three decades is what happens after the solution is finished. A delivered solution is rarely a tidy piece of software that runs quietly somewhere. It is a set of interactive services, and those services have to live somewhere — be hosted, watched, updated, and kept talking to the systems around them.
Many of our customers did not want to own, host, and manage systems that were not part of their core competency. That created friction at exactly the wrong moment: right after a successful delivery. Increasingly, they asked us to run it instead.
That request is a large part of why VirtualForge exists — somewhere for delivered capability to live, operated by the people who built it. It is also why support is bundled into the sale rather than sold beside it.
In this section¶
| Page | What it answers |
|---|---|
| How We Price | The fixed-recurring model, what happens when the product does not exist yet, and a worked example using connectors |
| How We Engage | Collaboration and cost-sharing, and how a one-off need becomes a supported product |
| Why Support Is Included | What "supported" means commercially, and the commitment behind it |
What this section does not do¶
It does not publish rates. The structure of a price is useful to know in advance; the number depends on what you need, and it belongs in a conversation. Ask us, or ask your Seeq contact.
For the operational side of support — how to raise something, what to include, what we commit to — see Getting Support from EEI and the support page for the product you are using.
